Creating a blog is something I never imagined I would do, but as the adage goes “never is a very long time” – consequently time appears to have yet again been triumphant. So how did “never” turn out to be such a short period of time? Well the concise answer is, blogging found its way into my Microsoft commitments and once there it seemed like the appropriate occasion to launch my very own blog!

The next major dilemma was what on earth shall I blog about?
My daily life would be about as interesting as watching paint dry for those not living it, even though i am quite partial to it!
Writing about architecture (that’s what I do at MS) although significantly more interesting than harping on about my life, is not in my opinion worthy of possessing its own blog. Rugby is a passion of mine, so writing about that seemed like a good choice, except for the obvious disconnection with my major sponsor (Microsoft) and in all honesty again I am not sure it warrants an entire blog.
Recently I have decided I am especially interested in Anthropology, history, pre-history, and User Experiences (particularly interaction design) - again while all being worthy subjects none of these deserve a blog of their own in my opinion. Oh, and I appreciate that some individuals do write blogs solely focusing on one subject - I am just not one of these people; but I do reserve the right to promote their ideas.
So with all of this in mind, I have come to the crucial verdict concerning the inner recess of my blog:-
- IT Architecture
- Rugby
- History and Pre-History
- Cloud Computing
- User Experience
- Anything else I feel the need to rant about
For the sake of retaining your interest in my blog, I will try to exclude as much of my mundane personal life from you as possible, except for the morsel I have written about myself on the about page, but even that is more than you need or want to know about me…!
